The RK proposal for the Rotax DD2 class includes the use of a chassis with 30 mm tubes named RK 30-R, designed and manufactured specifically for the regulatory requirements of this category that prescribe the use of an engine equipped with two-speed gearbox and direct drive axle. For this reason on the rear axle only the axle flange on the brake side is foreseen, while on the opposite side the axle passes through the engine itself.
The bumper with the shock absoption system approved by Rotax is fitted as standard, while the shift linkage on the steering wheel is included in the “engine kit”. The design choices make this chassis extremely versatile.
