The championship will include 5 appointments and involve all top classes: KF3, KF2, SKF and KZ

Muro Leccese - This weekend WSK Euro Series, the top continental championship for KF and KZ classes, will take off from Muro Leccese circuit. Over 250 pilots will be on the track to represent the leading teams, including the official teams of the most outstanding builders worldwide. The championship will include five races, three in Italy, one in Spain and one in Belgium. Season is scheduled from March to June, when the grand final will be run on Sarno's circuit and the 5 titles at stake, KF3, KF2, SKF, KZ2 and KZ1, will be awarded.
Great optimism among the technical staff of the Lissone based company, following the positive debut of the BMB engines which will be adopted by Birel and RK official teams, yet everybody is aware that great technical development is still needed, especially during the first half of the season, and that the future is extremely difficult to predict.  
We must in fact not forget that all the top builders will compete at extremely high level. However Toman and Cesetti's double top ranking in Winter Cup fills the weekend with expectations, especially with regards to SKF, karting world top class. Birel opponents will include some long-standing champions: from Kozlinski to Forè, from Maisano to newcomer De Vries. Long awaited debut for Bergamo born pilot Matteo Viganò, who will race for MGM colours in top class. But new BMB engines have also proven their great potential in KF2, almost achieving success on their first appearance in Winter Cup with Barrabeig.
And it is no secret that the Spanish pilot will aim at the podium in pursuit of the first points of the season. I will be the same for teammates Fousek and Lennox, who were both extremely fast in winter testing and in recent Winter Cup.  Also RK team will be at its best, with experienced Basz flanked by Austrian pilot Jager. Finally, KF3 will feature Danish pilot Sorensen for Birel Motorsport, and external teams, like KSB and Italsport, will have the chance to get their own drivers in top ranking.
KZ classes must be examined separately, as the new BMB engine is still being developed and, regarding the leading races, the technical staff in charge of such project have decided to present it with Cesetti at the next “Industrie Trophy”, as a preparation to World Series debut in summer.
